Let's skip the Christmas season and dedicate an entirely different post for it - it being... (breaks into song) the most..wonderful timmmmeeee of the yeaaarrr...
The New Year is coming! and with it comes the thing that I get most excited about - choosing a new planner for the year! :)
I love daily planners, post-its, markers and other marking pens. Here's what I went through for the quest for next year's planner:
1. Started out with the conventional Starbucks planner. I had already started out with the Christmas drink section, but gave it up and gave the card to my sister (who just last week claimed her Starbucks planner).
2. Attempted a moleskin planner. But then I decided that I was limited to very few colors and designs, and was too common that I may end up having my planner swapped with somebody else's. Besides, that amount for just a planner just did not work for me. At least with Starbucks, I get a yummy drink for my money :)
3. Wanted to go with another Belle du Jour (like what I had for year 2010). But my experience with this year's planner was that it had too much stuff in it that I get confused with the REAL planning part. I get too distracted by the other items inside that I end up not really using it for the purpose intended. Besides, I haven't even consumed half of the coupons in the BDJ planner, and it's nearing the end of validity of December 31! Probably already time to start Chrsitmas shopping and using my coupons =p
4. Considered an oldie planner like the ones my mom uses (haha!). But then I really did not want an oldie planner no matter how I convinced myself that it was okay.
5. Ended up with a planner I found buried within the mounds of other planners in NBS. I dont even know what brand it is!haha But I liked its simple plain design, and its very distinct color. Its cover seems like a moleskin (with a better price), the space for writing was similar to a Starbucks planner (one page per date), with the ribonny thing of the BDJ...but still simple like the oldie planner=p
Ahhh the joys of planner shopping ^^
