and I still have traces of indelible ink on my finger to prove it! :D
I get excited over little things, and my first election is just one of those times when my excitement gets cranked up. ;-)
My senatorial bets were:
1. Escudero
2. Arroyo
3. Pangilinan
4. Lacson
5. Villar
6. Angara
7. Cayetano (Alan) haha
8. Recto
9. Roco
10. Aquino
11. X
12. X
*My arrangement of names do not necessarily pertain to ranking...
Weeelll, except in the case of Escudero who my sister and I both adore. :D
I wanted to fill up all 12 slots, (this was my first election after all!hehe) but my dad said I didn't have to fill everything up and that I just had to stick to the candidates I felt were really worth voting for.
May 14 - On the election day itself, I was probably the most enthusiastic voter in the precinct! I already had a mayor, a vice mayor, and a party list in mind. But I didn't really know any of the councilors who were running, so I asked my parents who they were gonna vote for. My dad murmured something about voting for "Archival" and another name that I didn't quite catch, but it was something resembling "Corella".
So when my time to vote came, I wrote for councilors:
1. Archival
... I searched the sample ballots, and there was a "Labella"... it kinda sounded like "Corella", so I voted for him too.
2. Labella
... only to find out that the name my dad really mentioned was Carillo.hehehe. Well I have to admit, Carillo does sound closer to Corella than Labella ever will.hehe. :D
I wrote all my candidates' names clearly and legibly and with their complete names!, making doubly sure I wrote Alan Peter Cayetano's whole name. HAHAHA
Then came the most awaited moment of every first voter. . .
. . .
. . .
. . . the applying of the indelible ink.hehehe :D
